Hotel Gong is found at a little picturesque town 5tramberk located on the slopes of a Moravian
range of mountains called Beskydy. The town itself, declared the National Trust Reserve, is
famous for motives of its typical wooden cottages which are dominated by a well-known
tower called "5tramberk’s Truba". There are also other places of interest such as a little
square, a museum and the Sipka cave, a finding-place of Neanderthal man remains.
The location of the Hotel Gong also provides an inexhaustible number of cultural and sports
opportunities to their guests. Among others, we can recommend a visit to the Car Museum
at Koprivnice, Pribor - a native town of S. Freud. Hukvaldy with its castle and native house
of Leos Janacek, a Czech composer, the open-air museum at Roznov as well as Pustevny
and Radhost summer resorts in the Beskydy mountains. There are also other attractions
such as seasonal hunting, observation flights, swimming in the open air, surfing, mountain
bicycles on hire, skiing and hiking all the year.
The hotel is get-at-able both by car and other means of traffic. The Ostrava-Mosnov
